Fire and Money for Wildlife, Water and more!

Interested in creating habitat on your land that supports bobwhite quail, monarchs, whippoorwill and other wildlife? We are in the process of converting an old pasture at Bailey Mountain Preserve to a riparian forest and keeping part of it in early successional habitat for ground nesting birds and pollinators. This habitat will also serve to protect Banjo Branch, the stream that runs through it. You have an opportunity to come learn about the project, the funds we have a and how fire is a tool that can be used in habitat restoration. We are hosting a learn and burn, details below. Please register if you are interested in coming and/or knowing when it will happen. These calls are made at the last minute in order to ensure safe weather conditions.
