"We All Live Downstream": Artwork Inspired by the French Broad

Madison High School students in Kerstin Davis' art class created an installation inspired by the French Broad for the K-12 Art Exhibition at Madison County Arts Council. Ivy River Partners gave a presentation to the class about local water issues, water quality monitoring, and some rare and cool species found in our local waterways. The students work, seen above, consists of clay sculptures of important species, a water feature, and a giant hand sculpture representing a map of the French Broad, entitled "It's In Our Hands". Come see their work and others through May 7th at the Madison County Arts Council. 90 S. Main St., Marshall. Mon-Fri 10-5, Sat 10-3.
